3W Clinic Fresh Snail Mask Sheet Review

I have never used any sort of face mask prior to purchasing this Korean mask sheet. They say that a lot of women really start to get involved with a detailed skincare routine (usually an Asian style skincare routine) after trying out a face mask sheet. Everyone just loves these face masks and after finally trying one out for myself I can see why. I loved this face mask and I cannot wait to try out other types now!

Let’s talk about 3W Clinic’s Fresh Snail Mask Sheet.

This mask sheet is made out of 100% cotton so it feels really soft against your skin. I love the soft feel. I was expecting the mask to feel more like a wet wipe than soft cotton so it was nice that the material was cotton. I was also happy to find out that the mask did not smell weird. That might seem strange but, again, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this mask sheet so I’m glad it did not have a weird texture or chemical smell to it.

When I first put the mask on I immediately laughed at how silly I looked. Hey, beauty isn’t always pretty.

Aside from how soft the cotton felt, I also immediately got a cool and fresh feeling when I placed the mask on my face. I could feel the mask right away start to moisturize and freshen up my face. It turned out to be a very relaxing experience.

When I removed the mask after about 20 minutes, I noticed that my skin felt smooth. My forehead was still a tad bit dry but I’m not surprised because I usually have a dry forehead due to some skin problems. My forehead can easily get red and flaky. I do feel like this mask did help a little bit with my flaky forehead though. I noticed that my forehead was not as red as it typically is without make-up or after I remove my make-up at night. There was no increase in redness or flaky-ness after using the mask.

While my forehead might have felt a tad dry still, my whole face did feel refreshed and moisturized right after using the mask. Since this is my first time using a mask sheet, I have nothing else to compare it to but I have read some other reviews and some people have noticed their skin getting dry quickly after taking the mask sheet off.

The Fresh Snail Mask Sheet says it is good for removing grease and oil. I did get the feeling that my skin was cleaner after using the mask sheet. I used this face mask after removing my make-up and doing my P.M. skincare routine and I felt like the mask was a nice way to end my nighttime beauty routine. I will definitely be buying more mask sheets in the future.

The 3W Clinic Fresh Snail Mask Sheet is made from from snail secretions. In the future I will probably avoid any snail based face masks since I'm paying more attention to such things now. This particular mask also contains alcohol so if your skin is sensitive to alcohol you might want to avoid the snail mask.

Overall I did like the mask but I will probably try a different brand the next time I purchase a face mask sheet.

Gym Etiquette - Leave Some Space

There are a couple of unwritten rules when at the gym. One of those rules is to leave some space between you and the people next to you. This means that if there are plenty of empty machines available, do not use a machine right next to someone else unless you know that person. Leave some space!

This happened to me at the gym today not once but twice.

I was having a bad afternoon what with iTunes deciding to delete all of my music and failing to create a backup before. I created a backup but it keeps failing to restore it. After quickly adding five songs to a new workout playlist, I went to the gym to let out some of my frustration.

I like going to the gym during the afternoon when I can because there are less people around. There were plenty of treadmills available so I choose one away from everyone else. I'm about two minutes into my workout when another woman gets on the machine right next to me. I'm a little annoyed but I decide to just move one machine over.

About 15 minutes later, I'm finally getting into my groove while listening to some CL and 2NE1 (great workout music by the way), when suddenly another woman gets on the machine right next to me (between me and the first woman). The first thing I noticed about her was her perfume. I understand using a little body spray but this was too much. Now, by this time the room had cleared out significantly and there is no reason for this woman to get on the machine right next to me.

I was so annoyed! But I had to finish my workout by this point because I was already too far into it.

When you go to the gym please do not use too much perfume and do not get on the machine right next to someone else when there are enough machines available. It is just rude and can be annoying to other members.

CoverGirl Professional Remarkable Mascara

I finally go around to picking up a new mascara. I honestly don't know why I waited so long to get a new tube. I guess I forgot just how much a little bit of mascara can really help to bring out the eyes.

I decided to give Covergirl's Remarkable Professional Waterproof Mascara a try.

I can say that I am happy with this mascara after using it for a few weeks.

This mascara is not overly clumpy or thick and does not over do the mascara when applied to the lashes. If you want to get a nice build up of mascara then you will probably have to apply it a few times.

Personally, I really like just using one application of the mascara to add just a tiny bit of pop to my lashes for an everyday look. If you like to keep your daily makeup look on the light and natural side, then one or two coats of this CoverGirl mascara could be work well for you.

Last weekend I was at an outdoor party when we suddenly got hit by a brief shower. The rain only lasted for a few minutes but I can say that the mascara help up just fine that day. I'm not sure how it will hold up under a downpour though.

The application brush is a spoolie but it works well when it comes to separating and coating the lashes. At the same time, the brush could be improved upon. The brush easily coats the outer lashes but it can be tricky to get more of the inside lashes. Also, the mascara is not the best for creating a lot of volume. It takes multiple coats to build up a lot of volume so looking for an alternative for when you want volume and thick lashes would be a good idea.

CoverGirl's Remarkable Professional Waterproof Mascara is great as a light mascara for an everyday look or for when you want to keep your makeup light and more natural.

Wet n Wild Megalast Nail Polish Review

I recently picked up some drugstore nail polish in order to break myself of my terrible nail biting habit. So far it has been working! I have already noticed a growth in my fingernails. The brand of nail polish that I decided to pick up was Wet n Wild's Megalast. I picked up four different colors.

I Need a Refresh-Mint (218A)

I chose these shades because they match my style and colors that I often wear however Wet n Wild did have a nice selection of colors including some dark reds and a nude shade. I might try out the nude polish once my nails grow out and actually look pretty.

I am pretty impressed with these nail polishes for a drugstore brand. All three nail polishes tend to last for about a week before they start to chip off.

The colors are very pretty too!

Undercover is a nice middle pink shade. I can easily pair this shade with a variety of pinks and other colors. Aside from the nude shade, Undercover is one of my favorite colors that I picked up.

I found that I had to apply at least two coats in order to get an even color. Just one coat was a little bit streaky on some of the nails.

Sugar Coat is a nude shade. I tried to build it up to see if I could get more of a solid color from this shade but even after four coats, it remained a nude shade. It was a little bit darker and less transparent after four coats but the difference between one and four coats of nail polish was not hugely significant.

I have to say though that I love Sugar Coat as a nude shade. It had just the right amount of transparency to color for my tastes. This ended up being my favorite shade out of the bunch. 

I'm not sure if I love or hate On a Trip to be honest. For me, I feel like the shade of purple is a bit hard to match with most of my wardrobe.

The purple is a bit more of blue-purple than a true purple or red-purple. I think the shade would work great with black or colors that just "pop". I also think this color could actually work well against a rosey red.

I Need a Refresh-Mint is a very nice minty shade of nail polish and is pretty much exactly what I expected. The shade is a blue-green that reminds me of the ocean making it a really great summer color in my opinion. Much like On a Trip, I Need a Refresh-Mint can be paired nicely with bold colors to create a "pop" look. But, I can also see this color paired with some light and subtle pinks for a Venus Rising from the Ocean Foam kind of look.

According to Nouveau Cheap's review of the I Need a Refresh-Mint shade, this color is very close to China Glaze's For Audrey nail polish. So if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to For Audrey, then Wet n Wild's color will work nicely.

The only downside to Wet n Wild nail polishes is the brush. I found that I had to apply a second coat of polish in order to smooth out the color so to speak. The brush can leave a streaky look otherwise. Make sure that the first coat of polish is dry first before applying the second coat or else you could end up with messy nails.

The brush is also a bit short and a bit big which can make it difficult to carefully apply the polish to the nail.

Overall, if you are in need of something more on the cheap side compared to other brand nail polishes, Wet n Wild is a really good drugstore brand of nail polish.
